Finding the elevator quickly and precisely is no problem thanks to LOC.id. The installed LOC.id POI locator points emit a raised orientation signal when approached with an active LOC.id app. In addition, the LOC.id app indicates that the network partner apps available for communication with the elevators can be downloaded or opened. This means that blind and visually impaired people not only receive acoustic information about the individual floors, but can also send a destination selection directly so that the smartphone calls the elevator and then selects the destination floor.
